2012/2013 HS Drama Production: 'Dracula'
Dracula was our biggest production to date, it included multiple sets, complicated lighting and sound effects, intricate costumes and elaborate props. We dug deep into our budget and after coming up short we realized if we were to make this show into a successful production we needed to improvise. We collected furniture from the refuse site, tirelessly painted our sets on both sides to save to doubling up on our backdrops, and hunted around Seoul for the best bargain for our costume rentals. After all the struggles and sacrifices, we presented the biggest production to date at BIS Canada. The parent community was so impressed with our efforts that they started a donation fund specially for our drama club productions. This fund created a tradition that is now part of the culture at our school.
