Master of Education
Educational Leadership

This specialized two year Master of Education program is dedicated to providing graduate students with the most current aspects of educational leadership strategies, concepts and theories, through a multiple of applications regardless of one's role within education.

PictureOur team working on our recommendations to improve the PLC initiative in S.D. 63.
Through first hand applications of inquiry based learning, formative assessment and strategic team teaching, Vancouver Island University graduate school students are able to apply this learned theory directly to their practice. Real life classrooms became the testing ground for the research being studied, as well as the reflection of that study.
As well courses specializing in educational research, educational change, and educational ethics were all relevant for enhancing deeper knowledge within the two year program.  Additional educational real world experience was offered by charging our cohort with the task of integrating a solution to improve the (PLC) Planned Learning Community initiative that is currently operating in British Columbia school district 63.
